Thank you all for your kind comments. I had been outside just playing around with macro mode when an airplane flew overhead and got the child to look up and hold still for a quick moment. I was concerned I had zoomed in too close, so I appreciate the positive feedback.
Betty, I only have this one 28-105 lens from my N80 and it appears to be working out just fine for me. I agonized over it a bit, but then opted against the kit lens for the D70. I may miss the wider angle of vision eventually, but so far I don't find myself wishing I had the kit lens. Enjoy your new camera! Julie #496647
